Many services are included in the price, a welcome basket filled with gifts and surprises, your first breakfast, a 2 hours daily cleaning, management of your bed and bath linen, unlimited access to vegetables and fruits that grow in our vegetable garden and a mid-week aperitif box. You will also find many books, novels, comics, art books, board games, dvds, a table tennis table, a gas barbecue.
We offer a large range of services to make your stay as enjoyable as possible:
Babysitting, bike rental, horseback riding, at-home chef, sport coach, yoga class, tennis, golf, massage, private cars and tour guides, booking of various activities ….
We can also organize a flight over the Alpilles in a glider, a hot-air balloon trip to watch the sunset in the Luberon, a visit of the vineyards of the region in a collector car, an unusual hike in Camargue among pink flamingos and bulls, the renting of a boat to sail around the Marseille calanques, a photo shoot in the lavender fields in the Drôme. How about attending one of the many festivals in the region? Fancy discovering the photography festival in Arles, listening to classical music at the Aix-en-Provence festival or watching a play at the Festival d’Avignon? We will do our best to get you some tickets.
We are there for these too. We can bring your favorite newspapers to you every morning with your breakfast. Going for a long hike? No problem, we can arrange for picnic baskets. As well as for an aperitive-box full of provençal flavors and delicacies for when you come back. Dare to ask us. We will be happy to fill your mind and your heart with amazing souvenirs. Our wish is to make your stay unforgettable. So what is possible is the least we can do.
When you make your booking, we will send you a list of all the services that we can offer; some of which will require to be booked before arrival and others, only 2 or 3 hours in advance, so that you can never hear the word « No » from us.

HOW CAN I BOOK ?
By phone (0033 +18.104.22.168.95) or by email (email@example.com). Once your holiday dates have been chosen, we send you a rental contract which you must return to us initialed and signed. In order to pre-fill your rental agreement, we need your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
WHAT ARE THE RENTAL PRICES OF THE MAS DE CINQ SOUS ?
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE ?
A nice surprise will await you on your arrival, a breakfast will be served when you wake up the first morning and you will receive an “aperitif box” in the middle of the week.
In each bathroom, you will find 100% local, 100% vegetable and Provençal products from the Végétalement Provence brand.
WHAT ARE THE MAXIMUM ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES ?
Arrival will be on the first day of rental between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The house must be vacated no later than the last day of rental before 11 a.m. Want to arrive earlier or leave later? We will always find solutions! How about a picnic in the shade of a pine tree? Just one idea among many others.
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED ?
A deposit is indeed required. The amount of the deposit is given to you in the rental terms and conditions of the Mas. It will be returned to you after your stay, no later than two months from the date of the exit inventory.
CAN I HAVE A BABY BED AND A HIGH CHAIR ?
Sure ! Le Mas de Cinq Sous loves babies! Travel cot, high chair, suitable crockery, baby monitor, books and toddler games, we have everything you need for your child to have a wonderful stay in Provence.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE OPTIONS OF ADDITIONAL HOUSEHOLD, HOME CHEF, MASSAGE, ETC… ?
At the time of your reservation, we will send you a list of options and services that we offer at an additional cost. All you have to do is book in advance by email or phone. Households, massages, treatments, transport can be decided at the last moment but certain activities require a reservation several weeks in advance. Ask us, we will do our best to make every moment spent at Mas de Cinq Sous unforgettable.
IS BARBECUE ALLOWED ?
You will find a gas barbecue in front of the house and an electric Plancha on the pétanque side. It is strictly forbidden to do wood fires in this part of the Alpilles. We ask you to be particularly careful with your cigarettes. Every year, they are responsible for a majority of the forest fires with the well known catastrophic consequences.
DOES THE MAS HAVE LAUNDRY ?
The Mas has a laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR YOUR HOLIDAY AT MAS DE CINQ SOUS ?
In Provence, each season is a pure marvel. Subject to a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters, Provence can be visited throughout the year.
DO YOU OFFER INTERNET ACCESS ?
We put at your disposal free access by WIFI. Warning ! We are in a rural area and in the middle of a protected national park and the connection speed is limited. You will of course be able to watch movies on the different screens through the Apple TV but it will be difficult to do this at the same time as watching a video chat on your tablet, attending a zoom conference with your work colleagues and playing Fortnite. You will have to choose. Draw the short straw whoever has priority. The best thing, in such an exceptional place, is to be connected, BUT preferably to nature.
WHAT IS A NATURAL POOL ?
A natural pool, also called a biological pool, is a pool that works as a result of the combination of certain bacteria and aquatic plants. The development of a genuine “fauna/flora” ecosystem promotes water quality and balance. In other words, it is a pool that works naturally without chemicals. This does not mean that you are going to swim in a pond or a swamp. No, not at all ! Regular maintenance of the pool (once a week) will ensure you all the comfort of a so-called “normal” pool. You can also do laps in this 6×12 meter swimming pool.
HOW TO GET TO THE MAS DE CINQ SOUS ?
As the French say :”To live well, stay unseen”. We will give you all the details when confirming your reservation. Do not hesitate to ask us for a transport solution from your place of arrival (station/airport) as, we have wonderful drivers who will be happy to bring you to us. We will, of course, be there to welcome you at the end of your journey.
If you arrive at the Mas by your own means, we will give you a meeting point at a specific time because the Mas does not exist on most GPS. We didn’t lie to you when we said this is a secret place..
WHAT WILL I FIND IN MY BREAKFAST BASKET ON THE FIRST MORNING ?
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN SLEEP AT THE MAS DE CINQ SOUS ?
The capacity of the Mas is 8 people. But we can install an extra bed for a child in one of the bedrooms.
CAN YOU ACCEPT PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY ?
We are very sorry but the Mas de Cinq Sous is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
DO I NEED TO TAKE INSURANCE ?
When you rent a vacation home, you absolutely must ensure that your liability insurance covers the seasonal rental. In addition, we strongly recommend that you take a cancellation insurance to cover this risk. The cancellation conditions set are strict and non-negotiable.
IS THE MAS NON-SMOKING ?
Yes, it is forbidden to smoke inside the Mas. On the terraces, there are ashtrays for your cigarette butts. We count on you not to throw them out into nature. It takes more than 2 years for a cigarette butt to decompose.
WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION CONDITIONS RELATED TO COVID-19 FOR THE 2022 SEASON ?
Damn virus! We have adapted our cancellation conditions this year to best meet your peace of mind.
Your stay can be 100% refunded in the following cases:
- General impossibility of traveling directly related to the COVID 19 epidemic: General restrictions on travel or border crossings decided by the Government of the country of the place of residence of the Client (i) prohibiting the Client from traveling to the country or area in which the Property is located and/or (ii) restricting travel to strictly necessary travel.
- Prohibition for the Client to access the Property following a general decision of the Government of the country in which the Property is located.
On the other hand: If the client or someone in his/her close family circle has been affected by Covid, the stay will not be reimbursed. However, we will nevertheless make our best efforts to try and find compensation (postponement of the stay for example).
